The Atlantic Inn, Block Island, RI – 1 night
This fine hilltop inn is the classic island retreat. Enjoy tapas, cocktails,
ocean views and sunsets on the wide veranda or lawnside Adirondack
chairs. Rooms are individually decorated with antiques and the main
floor boasts a tavern and an excellent restaurant. Test yourself on the tennis courts or perhaps in a game of croquet or horseshoes. The inn is a
short walk to the activities and shops in the center of town.
The Clarkston Inn, Newport, RI – 1 night
Listed on The National Register of Historic Places, the Clarkston is one of the oldest inns in Newport. Each antique filled room is named and decorated after a famous or infamous person in Newport’s history. The home is nearly 300 years old, though you will enjoy today’s luxuries and amenities. The inn is located in the heart of the historic district, steps to restaurants, shops and the bustling waterfront.
The Kelley House or The Vineyard Square Hotel, Edgartown, MA - 2 nights
The Kelley House, a Historic Inn of America, is located in the heart of downtown Edgartown's historic waterfront district, steps to shops, galleries and restaurants. The property is graced by charming rooms, a rustic pub, brick walks, lovely gardens and a refreshing pool. The Vineyard Square is a boutique hotel in the same historic neighborhood and offers soothing comfort in bright rooms recently renovated in hues reflecting the island's sea, sky and sand. Enjoy spectacular views of Edgartown Harbor from the rooftop veranda, relax in a rocker on the wide front porch and enjoy breakfast in the tranquil garden courtyard. The hotel has an on-site salon and day spa, fitness center and lounge.
The Stone House, Little Compton, RI - 1 night
This seaside estate and marvel of Italianate architecture was originally built in 1854 and has been historically restored with modern amenities. Each sumptuous room is its own distinctive blend of local fieldstone, granite, beach sand and glass tile. Rooms feature fireplaces, heated bath floors, custom designed bedding, luxurious tubs, and in one case, 360° views from the glass-floored, second level lantern room. Indulge at the inn’s spa, relax at the private beach, sneak a drink in the speakeasy, or enjoy lawn games while drinking in the views.
